CAPA Announces Leadership Transition: Farewell to Brian Blood, Welcomes Jennifer Lopez
The Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA) announced the conclusion of Brian Blood’s term as Chief Executive on 30 June 2025, following a distinguished 16-year tenure that has shaped the regional accountancy profession.
Since joining CAPA in 2009, Brian has driven strategic growth—strengthening stakeholder engagement, and enhancing regional influence, throughout the Asia-Pacific. His dedicated efforts have brought about greater professional cohesion and capacity across member bodies.
“On behalf of the CAPA Board and our members, we sincerely thank Brian for his many years of service,” said Prafulla Chhajed, CAPA President. “His commitment to CAPA’s mission and his leadership has made a lasting impact. We wish him continued success in the next chapter of his professional journey.”
CAPA is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Lopez as the incoming Chief Executive, effective 15 September 2025. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Jennifer will work alongside CAPA’s Secretariat team. Her appointment follows an extensive search process led by Yong Sok Jhun, CAPA Deputy President. Jennifer brings extensive leadership experience from her current role as CEO of a prominent international business chamber in Malaysia – demonstrating strong stakeholder engagement, strategic advocacy, and regional insight.
A transition plan has been established to ensure continuity during this period. Mei Leng will serve as the primary contact for external stakeholders in the interim.
This leadership change aligns with CAPA’s mission to continue driving excellence and innovation across its 29 national accountancy members representing over 2 million professionals.
